Sleep Promoting Activity You can Enjoy in the Evening

Most people have a routine they use to get ready for work or school or even a night out on the town.  Far fewer people, however, utilize an evening routine that leads to a good night’s sleep.  Then, these same people wonder why they are not sleeping at night!  This is not to say that your entire evening has to revolve around your sleep habits; however, there are some things you can do that will help to ensure you get a full night of restful sleep every night.

Instead of watching an edge of your seat murder mystery right before turning in, try reading a book or listening to soothing music an hour before bedtime.  This will put you in a much better frame of mind to drift off to sleep because your heart rate will not be racing from the stimulation produced from a suspenseful movie or television show. If you’ve already been essentially at rest for 30 minutes or an hour before you actually try to go to sleep, you’re going to have a much better chance of falling asleep and staying asleep.

Another activity you can do in the evening to help you to fall asleep is journaling.  Journaling has many therapeutic benefits and by “purging” your mind of all the things you may think about once you lie down, you’ll find that your mind is much better equipped to shut down and allow you to sleep.  Whether you write a few paragraphs or a few pages, you’ll be amazed at how much clearer your mind will be once you commit those swirling thoughts to paper.

Meditation is another activity you can practice in the evening to prepare your mind and body for a restful sleep.  Even if you just take 15 minutes to sit quietly and clear your mind, you’ll have a head start and you’ll notice the difference.  It may be hard to get into the habit at first, but once you realize the tremendous benefit of preparing your mind and body for sleep, you will soon begin to eagerly set aside that time for yourself.

You may have some other ideas of sleep promoting activities you can do in the evenings.  The most important thing is that whatever activity you choose should be stress free and relaxing.  It should be something that you look forward to.  Even a relaxing bath instead of a quick shower can make a tremendous amount of difference.  Binaural Beats audios can also be a tremendous relief for those who have trouble “shutting down” at night and can help promote a restful night’s sleep.

Can Binaural Beats Make You Happy?

Posted by Paul Kleinmeulman on 09 June 2008

Can binaural beats make you happy? Or any audio for that matter… does it effect our emotions?

If you have ever listened to a beautiful heart rending classical piece then you would say of course.

But is it scientifically proven?

Well I’m not a scientist so I can’t help you there… but I can say that real people use my binaural beats audios and get amazing results.

Check out this testimonial from Wendy in the US. It’s the first one I have gotten for this specific audio and the results are very pleasing.

Audio #7 - Pure Happiness

Experience: Very Satisfied

Hello Paul!

I took advantage of your generous offer recently, and downloaded all of the MindShift audios, as well as your new Beyond Binaural audios.

I didn’t have a chance to try them until the following day. I came home from a long, busy day spent running a ton of errands, and I wasn’t sure which audio to try first. I was slightly keyed up and stressed, but also feeling a bit drained and fatigued. Did I want an audio that would perk me up, or calm me down? :-) I couldn’t choose, so instead I decided to try the Pure Happiness audio, figuring it was a good in-between choice.

I listened on my MP3 player while sitting quietly in the living room. I only listened for 15 minutes, then had to get up to make dinner so I shut off the audio.

As I walked into the kitchen, I suddenly realized that I felt really good. My body seemed to be humming with good vibes and well-being, just like you feel after a good workout and stretch. I felt very relaxed and calm, but no longer drowsy or drained. It couldn’t be the AUDIO that did that, could it? I found it hard to believe, but the effect lasted for the rest of the evening and I slept like a baby.

The next morning I listened again to see if the result would be the same - and it was! Every time I listen to that Pure Happiness audio, I end up feeling not only happy but very light, calm and carefree. LOVE IT!

I still need to try most of the other ones - my biggest dilemma is choosing between them! But I am highly impressed by these so far, I must say! :-)

Forget The Snooze Button… Use Binaural Beats!

Forget the snooze button… Use Binaural Beats!

I just received this awesome testimonial for My Mind Shift audios and it shows 2 things.

1) These audios work fantastically, for so many people. I believe from the 680+ audios we have sold so far it hasn’t worked for less than 10 people and to be honest I don’t think they really gave them a ‘fair go’ (see point 2). These audios work!

and

2) Your brain learns to respond to binaural beats better the more you use them. Because at the start the binaural beats sound foreign to your brain so it puts up barriers to protect yourself. But as you listen to the audios regularly the brain relaxes and then starts to entrain to the frequency of the audio and that my friends is what brainwave entrainment is all about.

Listen to this.

Audio #6 - Pure Energy

Experience: Very Satisfied

Benefits: I have great problems getting out of bed in the morning, so after setting my alarm for six in the morning! I listened to pure energy while still snoozing in bed and was able to rise ready for the day after 10 minutes.

The second day I did the same and was up after five minutes I even felt ready for work and went in half an hour before my official start time, much to the delight of the night worker who go an early finish!

How Can Binaural Beats Help You?

Posted by Paul Kleinmeulman on 07 April 2008

How Can Binaural Beats Help You?

The capabilities of binaural beats are truly amazing. Binaural beats work by “tricking” your mind into gearing itself to different brainwave frequencies.

This is truly where the power of binaural beats lie. Once you understand that your brainwaves are truly what dictates your behavior, you start to understand the amazing potential of binaural beats.

Binaural beats can truly be a gateway to different altered states of consciousness. Binaural beats work by sending two different sounds of different, but similar, wavelengths to each separate ear. Your left and right brains will then balance themselves out and through a process called entrainment set themselves to a specific wavelength, all depending on the frequencies that were originally emitted.

Your mind then enters the specific state that the brainwave frequencies will induce. Since different brain wavelengths can induce different moods and behaviors, binaural beats can be used to shape and mold one’s mind.

Different binaural recordings can be designed to set the brain to different wavelengths thus creating the state these specific wavelengths produce. There are 4 principal brainwave patterns: beta, alpha, theta and delta.

More Focused And Alert Binaural Beats
If your goal is to heighten your brain’s activity and to be more focused and alert, then you can use binaural audio recordings that target frequencies between 14 Hz and 40 Hz range. These frequencies will induce what is called a beta state. This is the highest of all 4 frequencies your brain can emit. A beta state is associated to an engaged and highly focused mind. This is the state most public speakers are in when they make speeches and comedians are in when they perform their act.

Better Sleep Binaural Beats
If you want to get better sleep, then you can go for a recording that would put you in a delta state. A delta state occurs when your brainwaves are in the 0.5 Hz to 4 Hz range. This is where your brain gets most of his rest. Here the brainwaves are at the greatest amplitude and slowest frequency. They typically center around a range of 1.5 to 4 cycles per second. So if you want to say goodbye to sleepless nights, binaural beats might be of real benefit to you.

Meditation Binaural Beats
Binaural beats can be used for a variety of other reasons. Some recordings can be used to enter a deep meditative state. People practice meditation for a variety of reasons. Some do it out of religious belief, while some others do it for stress management purposes. Whatever the reason might be, binaural beats can help beginners reach a higher meditative state that they normally could.

Cure Depression Binaural Beats
Binaural beats can also be used to cure depression. Since depressive people usually dwell in lower brain frequencies then happier people, binaural beats can be used to gear up the brainwaves to a higher frequency. Binaural beats have been shown to be even more effective then regular anti-depressants in curing depression cases. This is not good news for the pharmaceutical industry…

The possibilities of binaural beats are endless. They can be used to really improve your natural capabilities and your quality of life… So why don’t you give them a try and see what binaural beats can do for you?
