I’ve just come back from the best 3 days camping of my life. Everything was just perfect… Warm enough to go swimming but cool enough to have a camp fire.

My family and I loved it.

Anyway here is a new article for more information about binaural beats…

More Energy With Binaural Beats…

We are living in a world based on performance. If a member is not productive, he is viewed as useless and a burden to society.

This is why more and more energy drinks have been hitting the shelves lately. Red bull, the most popular energy drink on the market, reported worldwide sales of US$ 1 billion last year; that’s a lot of money…

But humans are not machines. Our body has limits and the over usage of performance enhancing products can have a toll on our health. But wouldn’t it be cool if we could download an mp3, transfer it to our mp3 player and be able to muster all the energy needed for our everyday tasks?

Well it’s possible nowadays to do just that with binaural beats. Binaural beats are specially designed series of sound waves projected to each ear to produce an effect of brainwave entrainment.

But before I tell you how binaural beats work, let me give you a bit of history. Binaural beats were discovered in the early 1800’s by a Prussian physicist by the name of Heinrich Wilhelm Dove. He discovered that when two similar sound waves were sent to each ear separately, the brain would automatically adjust itself and process the two sounds as one distinct sound, or “beat”.

He noticed that when the two different sounds were processed by both the left and right brain, the brain would automatically weed out the difference between the two and single it out as a binaural beat. The combination of the two sounds would then be perceived as a single sound that would be the average of the two separate beats.

He then concluded that if you could adjust the recordings to certain frequencies, you could force the brain into certain frequencies, thus altering one’s mind state and mood.

And this is where the magic of binaural beats lies. With binaural beats, you can literally tune up your brain into different mind states; which is truly amazing… If you want to reach deep sleep or meditation, you can choose recordings that will lower your brainwave’s frequency. If you are experiencing some stress issues, then you can go with recordings that will lower your brainwave’s frequencies, simple as that.

Sometimes, low energy is strictly due to physical causes. It’s very important to have a good and complete alimentation if you wish to maintain your high energy. But a lot of times, lack of energy can be attributed to solely psychological reasons.

So if you would like to gain extra energy for your everyday tasks, there are binaural beats that can help you. Per instance, a lot of people are having trouble staying in a high frequency brainwave range when they are doing menial work. A binaural beat that would gear up your brainwaves into a higher frequency will force you to stay well awake and focused. We often mistake loss of energy with boredom. When you are bored, it is usually because you are dwelling in low frequency mental states. A binaural beat designed to higher your brain wave’s frequency will relieve you from boredom and give you a sense of mental arousal and excitement, thus making you feel more energetic.

Binaural beats can be the perfect replacement to energy supplements. And the best thing about binaural beats is that they work with your brain’s anatomy, so you don’t have to worry about side effects. So if you are sick of being tired all the time and would like to find a natural cure for energy loss, I suggest you give binaural beats a try and see what they can do for you.

If you are looking for binaural beats which can give you more energy, then I highly recommend my 12 pack at http://www.MyMindShift.com

Ever since binaural beats have been discovered by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in 1839, people have been taking more and more interest in the phenomenon.

But a lot of people have been, and are still being skeptical as to what extent sounds and frequencies can really alter the way our body functions. Some still see binaural beats as quackery and new age mumbo jumbo and dismiss binaural beats as legitimate therapy tools.

But I would like to demonstrate to you some of the possible uses for binaural beats and help you realize that the science behind binaural beats is real and factual and stands on genuine scientific principles.

But before I do, let me explain to you in details how binaural beats work. If one ear is presented with a sound frequency of 400 Hz and the other ear receives a tone of 410 Hz, these two tones combine in the brain. The gap of 10 Hz left between the two sound waves will be perceived by the brain as a binaural beat.

Each sound wave will be processed by the left and right hemisphere of the brain and will be synchronized to balance each other out. So instead of hearing two separate sounds of 400 Hz and 410 Hz respectively, the brain will play out the sound as a single rhythmic 10 Hz sound, or “beat”. This phenomenon is called entrainment and is the basic working principle of binaural beats.

This technique can be used to generate specific mental states. These states can be divided into 4 different categories: beta, alpha, theta and delta.

Beta Brain Waves

The beta state is reached when the brain waves frequencies are in the 14 Hz to 40 Hz range. The beta state is associated with normal waking consciousness. Low amplitude beta waves with multiple and varying frequencies are often associated with active, busy, or anxious thinking and active concentration.

Alpha Brain Waves

The alpha state is reached when the brain waves are in the 8 Hz to 14 Hz range. The alpha state is characterized by a deeply relaxed or dreaming state. The best example of an alpha state is the state you are in when you are laying down to take a break from an intellectually demanding task. The meditative state that you are in when you are reflecting about the rest of your day would be the alpha state.

Theta Brain Waves

The third state is the theta state. The theta state is characterized by a feeling of general drowsiness and is associated with early sleep. When you’re in a theta state, your brainwaves are oscillating in the 4 Hz to 8 Hz range. The theta state is the best state for meditation and deep reflexion. The theta state is also the state you are usually in when you are performing automatic tasks such as brushing your teeth or driving on the freeway.

Delta Brain Waves

The fourth and final state is the delta state. This is the state you are in when you are in a deep slumber. In this state, your brainwaves are in the 0.5 Hz to 4 Hz range. This state can be also reached through deep meditation.

Binaural beats can be used to reach any of these mental states. Some binaural beats are designed especially for people who would like to improve their meditation sessions, some are made specifically to improve focus and some can be used to get better sleep.

So binaural beats are really a way to tune your mind into any desirable state, which is pretty amazing. So I wish I could help dispel some of the myths surrounding binaural beats and that you will now be able to benefit from their countless virtues.

How Do Binaural Beats Work?

Binaural beats were discovered by a Prussian physicist and meteorologist named Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in 1839. He discovered that when two different sounds of similar frequencies were sent to both ears, a phenomenon called entrainment occurred.

Entrainment happens when the brain automatically adjusts itself to the two different frequencies perceived and weeds out the difference between the two frequencies to create a new frequency or “beat”.

Let’s say you play two different sounds, one of 300Hz and one of 310Hz, to each ear. Each sound will be processed by both the left and right hemisphere of the brain. The brain will then weed out the difference between the 2 sounds (10 Hz) and perceive it as a binaural beat. The brain will then perceive a new sound that will be the average of the two sounds. In this case, the new sound will be at around 305 Hz.

Every since Heinrich Wilhelm Dove made this ground-breaking discovery, many people decided to pay closer attention to the effects of binaural beats and began to observe the many effects binaural beats can have on the physical body.

A man by the name of Gerald Oster released an article in the 1973 edition of American Scientific Magazine that set the whole scientific world on its ear. In his article, Gerald Oster demonstrated the different possibilities of binaural beats and truly introduced them as serious therapeutic tools.

Every since Gerald Oster released his article, more and more therapist began to study the actual benefits of binaural beats so that they can apply them to their patients.

The most outstanding feature of binaural beats is that they are really able to substantially change someone’s mood and state of mind. Some binaural beat recordings are specifically made for people who would like to get rid of the effects of depression on their everyday life. In some cases, binaural beats have been proven to be even more effective then traditional medication on severe depression cases.

Another great thing about binaural beats is that they can be used to induce a deep state of trance on the listener. This a great tool for people who practice meditation on an everyday basis. Binaural beats can help the listener reach meditative peaks that he would otherwise not be able to attain trough traditional meditation methods. Meditation is one of the most common reasons why people use binaural beats.

Binaural beats have also been used to help people focus better and were even used on some cancer patients to help them relax and improve the effects of the treatments they were receiving. Binaural beats can also be used for self-hypnosis and to alter some bad behavioral patterns.

There are new uses to binaural beats that are being discovered everyday and more and more people are developing binaural beat recordings to achieve specific results. The possibilities of binaural beats are limitless and are very promising for the future of physical and emotional therapy. Don’t be surprised if you hear more and more about binaural beats in the future…

Binaural beats were discovered in 1839 by a physicist by the name of Heinrich Wilhelm Dove.

Heinrich Wilhelm Dove was born on October 6 1803 in Liegnitz, Prussia. He attended the University of Breslau for 3 years where he studied history, philosophy and natural sciences.

He then pursued further education at the University of Berlin from 1824 to 1826, and in 1838, Dove became an associate professor at the University of Königsberg. One year later, he assumed an associate professor position at the world renowned University of Berlin.

Heinrich Wilhelm Dove’s influence on the scientific world was such that there is a crater on the moon, the Dove crater, named after him. He was also presented with the Copley Medal in 1853 because of his many achievements.

During his career, Heinrich Wilhelm Dove wrote over 300 different papers on various subjects ranging from meteorology to experimental physics.

In 1839, Heinrich Wilhelm Dove discovered that when two different sounds of two different, but very close, frequencies were sent to each of his subject’s ears, the two frequencies created interference in the subject’s brain and merged to produce a whole other frequency, or “beat”. And this is how binaural beats were born.

Dove discovered that when two sounds of similar frequencies to those of the brain waves were sent to each ear, the brain would automatically adjust its own brain waves to match those frequencies. This phenomenon is called entrainment and is the main working principle of binaural beats.

But, it wasn’t until an American biophysicist by the name of Gerald Oster published a paper on the subject of binaural beats in the 1973 edition of Scientific American magazine called “Auditory Beats in the Brain” that binaural beats were introduced to the mainstream.

Since then, thousands and thousands of different studies were conducted on the wondrous effects of binaural beats. Binaural beats were even referred to as the first “digital pills” because of their amazing therapeutic properties.

Binaural beats can be used to produce certain states of consciousness. Binaural beats can be used to stimulate creativity or to induce a deep state of meditation. You can modify the binaural beat’s frequency multiple times during a session to give the best experience possible to the listener. Binaural beats can also alter the mood of the subject, making binaural beats a potentially powerful cure against depression.

There are binaural beat recordings that are specifically designed to help you focus better. Some are made to induce a state of happiness and tranquility and some can even be used to cure headaches and high blood pressure. Binaural beats are truly revolutionary therapy tools and there is no telling how far this technology can go.

You can find a large variety of binaural beat CDs or even instant download mp3’s on the internet and you will absolutely need good headphones to make the best of them. Binaural beats are totally safe and you won’t get addicted to them; so you don’t need to worry about undesirable side effects.

All in all, binaural beats are truly an amazing discovery that will probably change the way we look at traditional therapy forever; and their therapeutic properties will probably never cease to amaze us.
