Practice These Healthy Habits for a Good Night’s Sleep

It can be just as difficult to get through your workday when you are tired as it is when you are sick. While millions of Americans and others across the globe literally walk around sluggish and tired a good part of the time, it really doesn’t have to be this way regardless of how busy you are. While many of us take the time to prepare for meetings and work and child related activities, we simply don’t take the time to prepare for a good night’s sleep and this lack of preparation is often the root of the problem. Begin now to practice healthy habits to prepare your mind and body for a restful night’s sleep.

Our bodies respond to routines and sleep is one of the things we need to commit to a routine. By going to bed at the same time each night and waking up at the same time each morning, you can go a long way toward ensuring you receive a restful night’s sleep each and every night. While it is tempting for many to stay up later and sleep later on days off, try to avoid this practice as it can really throw off your sleep patterns several nights each week.

Many people like to shower in the morning when getting ready for work but there’s no reason you can’t take a long, soothing warm or hot bath right before bedtime. Most people don’t have much time to linger in the tub or shower when they are trying to get ready for work but by taking time for yourself the night before and soaking in the tub, you can help to ensure you get a full night’s restful sleep, which will make a big difference in how you feel the following day and it can also increase your productivity exponentially!

We’ve been lured into thinking that the busier we are, the better people we are and this just isn’t true! Far too many people take no time at all to rest until they do finally fall into bed at the end of a long day and then wonder why they can’t sleep! Then they get up the following morning only to relive the same frenetic pace and the vicious cycle continues. By practicing healthy habits and giving yourself the time to prepare for sleep in a natural and healthy way, you may discover that you get even more done, not to mention you’ll feel so much better.

If you would like a scientifically proven way to lower your brain frequencies and prepare you body to sleep then I highly recommend that you grab the 3 free binaural beats to help you sleep at…

Gosh it’s been such a long time since I have had a chance to write on my blog… I’m embarrased.

But this is a topic I just had to write about because binaural beats are especially powerful in this area.

Relax With Binaural Beats…

Binaural beats are beats that are specifically designed to reach altered states of consciousness. They do so by forcing your brain into certain brain wave frequencies.

This process is called entrainment. Entrainment, also called brainwave synchronization, is the practice of altering one’s brainwaves frequency by means of a periodic stimulus with corresponding frequency.

The stimulation can be aural, as in the case of binaural beats, but the stimuli can be visual, like in the case of dream machines. It can also be both aural and visual, like with a mind machine. You can also entrain someone’s brain wave frequency through electromagnetic radiation.

Every brain wave frequency range will produce a state that will correspond to a certain mind state. For example, if you brain is operating in the beta brain wave frequency range, the area of external activity (physical, muscular, nervous, emotional and intellectual) will be dynamic in your personality. This is the range in which your brain waves are usually in when you are practicing activities that require your utmost attention.

If you brain is in a theta state, then you will feel a bit drowsy like in an early sleep state. This is the range where most of our daydreaming takes place. If you ever were once on the freeway and couldn’t remember what happened in the last 5 miles, chances are you were in a theta state.

If you’re brain is in the Delta state, then you are probably in deep sleep. The delta state can also be reached by skilled meditation practitioners. This is the lowest brain wave frequency range. If you go below the delta state, you will be in what is called a “brain dead” state.

But if you are in an alpha state, you will be in a state of relaxation but still be well awake. The alpha state is the state between the beta state and the theta state and this is the zone you want to be in when you are trying to achieve better relaxation.

So if you want to achieve that goal with binaural beats, you have to go with recordings that target that specific range. There are plenty of different binaural beat recordings out there specifically made for that purpose (check out my set of audios at http://www.MyMindShift.com.

These recordings are designed to bring your brain waves into the 8 Hz to 14 Hz frequency range. This is the range in which your brainwaves are when they are in the alpha state. You will then feel as relaxed when you listen properly to these recordings as you usually would if you were to reach the same state through some other method.

But you will need a very good set of head phones to take advantage of all the benefits of binaural beats. Since binaural beats will only work if each separate ear is stimulated with a clearly distinct frequency, you will not be able to get results if you use standard speakers.

Never before have we been given the opportunity to “tune” our mind up to specific mind states with external sources of stimuli. If used properly, binaural beats can be a very effective way to release stress and dramatically improve one’s life quality…

Less Stress – Easy Sleep – Deep Relaxation and Centered Meditation will all help you to relax and they are all available at http://www.MyMindShift.com for one low price. Check it out if you need some help in that area.

All the best,
